PolyUMod is a commercial library of advanced material models for polymers, rubbers, foams, and other soft materials. Developed by Veryst Engineering, it extends popular finite element solvers with robust, ready-to-use constitutive models that accurately capture large-strain, nonlinear, rate- and temperature-dependent behavior. PolyUMod supports phenomena such as viscoelasticity, viscoplasticity, Mullins effect, permanent set, hysteresis, creep, stress relaxation, and anisotropy, enabling reliable prediction under complex load histories and long-term service conditions.
Delivered as a compiled plug-in, PolyUMod eliminates the need to write and maintain custom user subroutines and provides consistent results across multiple FE platforms. It integrates seamlessly with Veryst’s MCalibration software to identify model parameters from test data and to generate solver-ready material files, streamlining the workflow from material characterization to simulation.
Engineers use PolyUMod to design and optimize components such as seals, gaskets, energy-absorbing parts, and medical devices—reducing trial-and-error, improving test-to-simulation correlation, and accelerating time to insight. The library is supported by comprehensive documentation, example files, and expert technical support from Veryst Engineering.
PolyUMod is developed by Veryst Engineering and is used by 1 user of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 4.4, 4.6, 5.0, 6.3 and 6.4.
